Using our gifts for participative worship
People at our church regularly use their God-given gifts to lead various aspects of our liturgical worship. This includes prayer, call-and-response, music, and more.
Members and friends alike are welcome to join our various musical groups:
Adult choir
Our Sanctuary Choir practices every Wednesday and helps lead worship several Sundays per month. The group is open to all adults who love to sing.
Youth handbells
Junior Bells is for kids in 5th-8th grade. During the school year, they meet on Wednesday evenings to practice and participate in a couple services throughout the year.
Youth choir
Covenant Choir is for children in K-6th grade. During the school year, they meet every Wednesday and help lead worship about once a month, with a special focus on singing during Advent.
Church orchestra
Once or twice a year, many of us gather up our instruments–whether we’ve played them recently or it’s been a few years–and together lead music for a service.
Festival choir
During Christmas or Lenten and Easter seasons, we may gather up a larger choir of any age to sing for special holiday services.
Adult handbells
The Allegro Ringers also rehearse weekly during the school year and participate in about 8 worship services a year. Both experienced and novice ringers are welcome!
