Answering our call locally and globally
Abraham Kuyper once said, “There is not a square inch in the whole domain of our human existence over which Christ, who is Sovereign over all, does not cry: ‘Mine!’” In recognition that the whole world belongs to God, we are called to participate in the mission of restoring God’s whole creation. As a church in Grand Rapids, that means caring for our local communities and advocating for social justice. We are also called to support the works God is doing through others globally.
We respond to God's invitation to serve by actively working in our own ministry programs and partnering with other agencies and missionaries, focusing on these areas:
-
Refugees
-
Education and Christian leadership training
-
Hunger and food shortages
-
Homelessness and housing opportunities
-
Social and criminal justice
-
Creation care and the impacts of climate change
